Author Biography:

Tony Sole (Ngati Ruanui, Ngaruahine) helped research the Ngati Ruanui claim from which this history evolved. He has worked almost exclusively on Treaty issues since 1991. He has also been an exploration geologist and a secondary school geography teacher.
