Hello,
There was more to music in the UK in the 1960's than the Beatles, & this fine selection of Manfred Mann albums only goes to illustrate this.
I was very surprised with the sound quality of these recordings, & the word remarkable springs to mind to describe it. The sonic make-over of modern-time-technology remarkably brings out unbelievable life & sound that are now found here.
The performances from all musicians involved is superb, but one can't help but notice the voice of Paul Jones, who's work really does shine above everyone else, & you can hear a very confident young man going through the motions. His voice & technique out-shine the likes of the Beatles & Stones of the times, by having a much-more developed maturity that really comes through if compared, & you can't help but do this, since the music takes us back to those times.
A great time-capsule with more surprises than you might expect.
