Based upon the best-selling book series, the one-hour drama revolves around four teenage girlfriends – Aria, Hanna, Spencer and Emily – who lost touch with one another after the mysterious disappearance and supposed death of their best friend, Alison. The girls are reunited when they each begin receiving threatening messages from someone named “A,” suggesting Alison is actually alive and watching them. Somehow “A” knows their most private details, details they want to keep hidden – threatening everything they hold dear in their picturesque suburban community as secrets, lies, betrayals and danger continues to unfold.
