Description

The E-2C Hawkeye, nicknamed the “Hummer”, has been used in this upgraded version since 1973 as a “flying radar station” that is included in the materiel on every US Navy aircraft carrier. The APS-138/139 radar enables up to 250 sea and land targets within a radius of 370 km to be located and over 30 intercept operations to be carried out. The mission duration is over 6 hours. Over 140 of these machines were produced.
