Wellington based Ria worked with producer and mentor Riki Gooch (Eru Dangerspiel, Trinity Roots) on her debut self titled EP, tiheir goal was to create an EP that intertwines and celebrates Maori culture and progressive
future music.

Ria cut teeth by touring with NZ musical elite, Hollie Smith, Eru Dangerspiel and TrinityRoots. She has a background performing with one of NZ’s top kapahaka groups, and her recent performance at the RWC opening ceremony – a performance witnessed by a televised audience of millions – was a breath taking start to her solo career.

Ria’s creative meld of west coast hip-hop, vintage reggae, classic soul, dancehall ragga and modern beat music presents a fresh and vibrant perspective as both a young Māori woman, and as a cutting edge, 21st century singer and artist.
