"Not a bad reboot."

The fourth film more or less follows the concept of the first, with a clever whodunit plot, self-aware characters, irreverent humour and plenty of references to the first film. I would've liked to see references to the other two films, but that is only a minor gripe. It isn't quite as good as the original, but is a step back in the right direction from the third film that a lot of people felt was probably a step too far when it came out. Still, a must by for any fans of the Scream Franchise.

Description

Scream 4

The fourth movie of the Scream franchise.

Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (played by Emma Roberts) and her Aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell).

Unfortunately, Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.

  • " The opening scene is superb, once again mocking slashers and itself, this time with whimsicality and flair. " – Mike Massie
  • " Old meets new in the best, most genuine kind of way. " – C.H. Newell
