"Definitely a game to buy"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Great game, has full voice acting, though the lack of 3d in the port, the voice acting makes up for it. The major bugs that plagued the game have now been fixed (if you have wi-fi that is), so there are no more issues And since the PAL region publisher is a niche publisher, the game wont be around for purchase for much longer, so get it while you can, you (hopefully) won't regret it.

"Decent game, but some major game-breakers."
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

After playing the original I was hyped to get this release and complete all possible pathways, saving my play-through for the TWO years it took to come out on 3DS. Not worried about the wait, I play the game only to find two major bugs that cause the game to freeze and force to you restart the console. Once in the devil auction when a demon “changes” randomly and if you try to summon a new demon in battle. If you can live with these two faults, then by all means you'll love the game, but until ghostlight release a patch.. (who knows when, but apparently it's in the process now), you might want to hold onto your money.

Unless of course you're a die-hard Atlus fan like myself.

"Nintendo running out of ideas"
5 stars"

I thought that they would have at least converted this to 3D considering its coming out on the 3DS. But graphically, its still the same budget game that it has always been. The game itself might be awesome, but it should not be marketed as a 3DS game. If you really want to play it, just find a DS copy instead of paying the 3DS price.

I'm really disappointed with how Nintendo appears to be just porting over their old games to new consoles and selling them with a higher price tag.

Description

Expanded and enhanced, SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked for Nintendo 3DS builds upon what many considered one of the best RPGs of 2009. The player is presented with a novel premise: Tokyo is in full lockdown, the government's swift, coldblooded response to a surprise demon invasion. While you and your friends must solve the nature of the interdimensional rift through which the horrific creatures are entering your world, saving the world is not your highest priority; staying alive, on the other hand, is.

Features:

  • Enhanced and Remastered: Overclocked's story, initially hailed for its originality, is now fully?voiced, bringing the narrative to life like never before.
  • And on the Eighth Day: For Shin Megami Tensei fans this offers them their only chance to experience a finale to the game's chilling tale of Tokyo overrun and in chaos at the hands of invading demons from another dimension.
  • Acclaimed RPG/SRPG hybrid: Overclocked's combat design borrows from traditions of both RPG and strategy RPG genres, making for an entirely unique play experience and garnering acclaim from press and fans alike upon its initial release.
