The DSC-QX10 is a new type of camera designed for mounting on smartphones just as interchangeable lenses are mounted on DSLRS. Users operate the camera by using the screen of their smartphone. Although compact, it features a 10X optical zoom for capturing faraway subjects and comes with optical Steadyshot to control camera shake ensuring blur free photos. The 18.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensor captures high quality, low noise images with ease, even in dark environments.
Using the NFC and Wi-Fi features, user can link the camera and smartphone with one touch ad then use the Smartphones large touch-panel screen to comfortably shoot, play back images and operate the camera functions. Users can retouch images and share them with friends and family members using their favourite smartphone application.
