Supernatural - The Complete 2nd Season (6 Disc Set) reviews

Once again the careful craft of a bunch of pretty cool writers comes to the fore with some stand-out work by Sera Gamble. There's a plot line running through the whole season that builds to a dramatic climax and the cinematography is again awesome. I'd say season one was a fraction scarier, however, than season two, but that's my only quibble – oh and also (2nd quibble) the special features listed on the back of the case aren't actually all there!

Is this season a good follow up to the “super” first season? Two words – Hell yes! I was skeptical about the start of the second season, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the hunts getting bolder, gorier and more realistic. For example, for several episodes, Jared Padalecki (Sam) wore an arm cast to say a broken arm. The realism is more defined this season, which made me enjoy it more. Instead of being a pair of superhuman men who got injured and then were in perfect health next week, the injuries were more believable, and took longer to get over.

BRING ON SEASON 3!

Supernatural is moody, dark, and witty. Brilliant writers and actors mix belly laughs, brutal action, and heavy-weight philosophy – eg the angel's angry demand “would you rather have peace or freedom-” An acclaimed lighting expert contributes to the moody dark feel. No pink bows, a dose of classic rock, and a love affair with a Chevy Impala. Awesome.

Loved the smallville series and now this is the next best thing, will be collecting the set of these, whole famiy enjoyed it.

This second season of supernatural is really good, its not as good as the first but it is good.

This season is the follow up from season 1 and is just getting into some more MAJOR info along in the series, great watch, better than the movies/

Having never seen the show on TV, I purchased the first season after reading rave reviews from everyone else here on Mighty Ape… After becoming quickly addicted, I have found myself owning the second season as well! This show just keeps getting better! A must have for fans of the paranormal!

The second season fully lives up to the thrilling first season. Good acting and a great storyline

Watched it all the 1st week I had it. Now I need Season 3. I never watched Supernatural when it was on tv, but now like everyone else, I'm hooked!! Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys being glued to the screen, on the edge of their seat with moments of unexpected laugh-out-loud humour thrown in! Oh and a great car!!

There is no words to fully describe how good supernatural is. A must buy for fans of the supernatural and with Mighty Ape's great prices and excellent service you cant go wrong.

What can I say I regret not watching it on television, but I love watching the boxsets.

The Winchester brothers rock the supernatural!

Another great season of Supernatural. Its has everything I like in it from demons to shooting scenes. A must watch for everyone

This is an amazing buy. The story continues on the second where the first one left off. With another tragic loss to the Winchester family, the bond between the brothers grows stronger and the boys seek out for revenge along with meeting some hunters from their dad's past.

Season two starts of where the first one ended. Love this series and honestly could watch it over and over again without getting sick of it. A must have.

The second series for me is probably one of the best. Just because it continues from where season One left off, only this time it starts to get interesting.

Truth isn't always a good thing, and once you've unlocked Pandora's box, it can never be locked again.

The Winchester Brothers face new enemies, new challenges, and most importantly.. they face up to things that neither of them could have ever anticipated.

Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) and Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) are just as awesome as before, and joined by a cast of other talented actors, they prove once again that delving into the Supernatural, is only the tip of the iceberg!

Season 2 is the next best since season 4. It should be on the top of everyones christmas list along with all the other seasons too!!

Still love this series – see review for series 1. Can't wait to be able to purchase series 3 in NZ.
