My 8 year old loves this book. I've caught him on numerous occasions putting what he reads in each chapter into practice as it written perfectly for someone of his age ro comprehend. Well done Aaron on writing a book that is not only educational but also enjoyable for anyone of any age :-)

Aaron Cruden shares the highlights of his junior and professional rugby careers along with the skills and tricks you'll need to become a rugby star.

How do you pass a rugby ball? How do you take a drop-kick? How do you tackle someone bigger than you?

Instructional and highly illustrated, this is a beginner's book of rugby for all ages. It features the basic skills every rugby player should be familiar with, no matter what their position. Along with techniques and drills to perfect basic passing, tackling, running, defensive and attacking play, it also features some of Aaron's advanced moves, like the offload, flick pass and pop kick.

Aaron provides some of the little-known facts about rugby, as well as advice on how to play for your school, province, Super Rugby team and the things you will need to do to become an All Black.

Author Biography

Aaron Cruden is a New Zealand rugby superstar, known for his tactical flair and exciting skill-set. He made his provincial debut for Manawatu Turbos in 2008 and captained New Zealand to the 2009 IRB Junior World Championship title, as well as being named 2009 IRB Junior Player of the Year. In 2010 Cruden made his debut for the All Blacks in a test match against Ireland. Since then, Aaron has been a pivotal player for the All Blacks, playing in the quarter final, semi final and final of the 2011 Rugby World Cup. He was also the highest points scorer for the All Blacks 2013 perfect season, and has a career winning percentage for the national side in the mid-90s. Cruden also plays for the Waikato Chiefs, a team with which he won back-to-back Super Rugby titles, in 2012 and 2013.
