By far the funniest movie of the year. Pulls out plenty of surprises and is absolutely hilarious! My personal favorite of the Cornetto trilogy. It's ridiculously clever with some really great action as well.

I loved this movie. There is some clever lines in this movie. You may need to watch this movie more than once to pick up the humour. It's also an action movie but this aspect takes a while to come out in this movie.

Description

The World's End

The World's End is a British sci fi apocalyptic comedy film directed by Edgar Wright, written by Wright and Simon Pegg, and starring Pegg, Nick Frost and Martin Freeman. It completes the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy begun with Shaun of the Dead.

For Gary King (Simon Pegg) and Andy Knightley (Nick Frost) it was supposed to be the ultimate reunion – one night, five friends, twelve bars. A boozy quest to ‘The Worlds End’ pub on which only the strongest will survive. Having the time of their lives, they're ready to take on the world … but tonight they might just have to save it.

From Edgar Wright, director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, comes a wildly entertaining thrill ride of outrageous humour and explosive action that will raise a glass to the apocalypse.

Critic Reviews:

  • " Where Shaun Of The Dead was inspired, this is comfortingly repetitive. But hey, isn't that the main attraction of any pub? " – Larushka Ivan-Zadeh
  • " It is a more mature piece of work, which seems a peculiar way to label a zippy comedy about drinking beer and outrunning the apocalypse. " – Jason Bailey
  • " Pegg gives arguably his best performance in the three films, and his chemistry with Frost is unbeatable. " – Chris Stuckmann
