Firstly, I need to admit that we're only 2/3 through watching this. But as an ardent fan of David Simon through The Wire and Treme Season 1, I've no hesitation in commending this whole-heartedly to anyone who appreciates serious, thoughtful, realistic television drama (and/or great acting and/or New Orleans music). Watch Season 1 first though. Treme is magnificent – the pinnacle of quality television drama to date. Just don't expect the usual emotional massaging of crap TV drama – this is much more like life – good s*t happens, bad s*t happens, it rolls along. The story of an entire city masterfully told through the everyday lives of a diverse handful of it's citizen. Enjoy!
