True Blood - The Complete 2nd Season reviews

Season 2 out beats season 1 by far. Season 2 just goes to show how good it will get in the other seasons to come. If you really like supernatural and vampires this is an excellent programme to watch. Nothing like the humans trying to get on with the vampires. Anna Paquin has really put New Zealand on the map with this programme she has done an excellent job being a main actor. This is really a must have. It has grabbed my action i watch season 2 all within a day.

Once again Miss Paquin was brilliant! Anna is amazing and beautiful. This season was very full on and I have a bit more respect for Eric, which i didn't expect. I was hooked as soon as I put the first disc on. I recommend this series to anyone who has a passion for the supernatural with a hint of real human story lines. Bon Temps here I come, seriously!!!!!

Its great series that anyone no matter if your a Twilight fan or hate it. Its a must have to continue the story of Sookie and her vampire boyfriend Bill as there world gets dark and more dangerous, full of action, adventure, love, lust and mystery.

I enjoyed this season, but no where near as much as I enjoyed the first. There was a lot to cover in this season and because of that it missed a lot of detail. It was difficult to run a timeline because it jumped so much between different storylines. In saying that it is still seriously hot! And I'm looking foward to seeing more of the Queen of Louisiana in Season three!!

The characters are all compelling and have their own drama and mystery. True blood is Raunchy, Romantic and Fantasy all entwined which makes watching the series very addictive. You will fall in love with characters and will be left wondering how does the love triangle between Sookie, Bill and Eric end up.. Can't wait until the next series, I loved it..

In the new season of true blood, our perspective on the characters is altered and changed. What we thought we knew was only a peice of who they are, and towards the end we only start to really get a grasp on who these people are and what they are capable of. It is wicked and enthralling. If you liked the first season you will love the second.

It's very simple – if you watched the first season and even remotely enjoyed it then this second season is a must watch. It expands on the existing characters and adds some very cool ones. There are two main story lines and each comes to a very satisfying conclusion. Violence, nudity, and not a frame of reality tv in sight – thank god people out there are still making quality tv from quality stories

An outstanding series and this is the perfect way to enjoy it – no adverts! Even though I am still to listen to all of the commentaries as special features, this DVD set is brilliant. I cannot wait for season three!

In season one we met all our favourite characters of the series but season two will give you a much more intense insight into the supernatural world of Bon Temps, we meet some new characters which won't be as popular and find out more about the two-natured. The season foreshadows what's to come with subtle hints about characters! All in all, a fantastic watch.

If you are a fan of True Blood season one, you'll definately enjoy this one. True Blood is nothing like other vampire/fantasy programs around lately (Not suitable for Twihards) :) . I havn't read the book series but it is still a good watch. The only thing I didn't like about this dvd series is the special features. I stopped watching after a few minutes. There are no behind the scenes parts or interviews with actors (which I like). Overall a great series. Looking forward to Season 3.

Continues from season 1 with a solid story line, some interesting twists, and plenty of action. Where will it go next? Who knows, but it is bound to be surprising and interesting…

Great acting, intriguing story, dealing with many modern issues in a new way and well directed. Well worth owning both seasons, the second is potentially even more interesting than the first. Also worth owning as you pick up more each time you see an episode and special features are curious.

I would definately recommend this series to a mature audience. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have already watched it twice over.

I was a have been a fan of the series for a while and i only purchased the DVD for the special features. I was not disappointed as the audio commentaries from the cast and crew provided a great insight into what goes behind the scenes into this fabulous show. Older fans of twilight will certainly enjoy the second season of this fabulous show.

This product is truly amazing definetley one of the best i have seen in a long long time. Your are sure not to be dissapointed with this product. I Have heard of otherpeople aswell who have just raved about it definetley a thumbs up from me.

A reasonably enjoyable second course to the ground-breaking original series. Characters mature well, and develop in greater depth.

The plot is a little tedious in places, because its not clear why things are happening, but it does make you want to watch to find out.

Not as good as the first series, but still entertaining.

Love True Blood glad I can watch this so many times over :-)

This is a great dvd and well worth buying, I brought this for my daughter and she hasn't stopped watching it ever since!

In Season 2 we get to see allot more or Certain characters.. We get to see Hot Eric and his Beautiful Progeny Pam. I'm Glad we got to see alot more of them In season 3. I LOVED getting to know The Baby Vampire Jessica… Lots of Laughs from her in Season 2…This is still not the best Season yet. But Good enough..

If you love hot vamps and the sexy Sookie, you will definately love the second season of True Blood. Too much goes on in the town of Bon Temps. Lots of thrilling scenes and deception. We meet the Fellowship of the Sun. Jason one-way mind gets him stuck in a pickle. Sookie ‘saves’ Eric and one small move could turn the Vampires against humans…

Im a huge true blood fan so to watch this after loving season 1 was awesome. Now cant wait for season3

Yet another excellent season of True Blood from creator Alan Ball. Although the television series bear little likeness to the wonderful Sookie Stackhouse books written by Charlaine Harris, it is still a brilliant series in its own right, with just the right amount of horror, whimsy, sex & most importantly – humour.

In this season, the true colours of seemingly generous benefactor, Maryann, emerge. Soon, the residents of Bon Temps are under her spell, and all manner of chaos ensues as her diabolic plan unfolds.

Meanwhile Sookie is left to babysit newly-made vampire, Jessica, and finds herself persued & attacked by a strange & vicious creature which takes her to the brink of death.

Eric enlists the help of Sookie & Bill to find a 2000 year old vampire who has mysteriously disappeared.

Jason is ensconced in the Fellowship of the Sun church, where he is trained in the art of ridding the world of vampires.

All-in-all, season two of True Blood is truly gripping, with never a dull moment. Enjoy!

The second season had me on the edge of my seat!! As the characters delve deeper into the structure of vampire politics, the introduction of more supernatural beings and the relationship of our favourite vampire/human couple, taking the story to new hights. A must see if you've seen the first season, this one is not to miss!!
