Vanquish (PS3 Essentials) reviews

Although shorter than the comparable Bayonetta, Vanquish has a surprisingly high level of replayability for a game of its type. With difficulty levels ranging from the very relaxed ‘Casual Automatic’ to the punishing ‘God Hard’, Vanquish caters for players with a range of skill levels and interests. Unlike many games where increasing the difficulty just makes the game more of a grind, players are forced to use more of the game's features as the game becomes harder – it's not just about firing more bullets =) Simply one of the most enjoyable games I've played this year.

This game is brilliant best action game this year, action is overwhelmingly high sometimes, intense story line and plot voice acting is abit cheesey you will here lines from films for example “come on you maggots you wanna live forever” from Starship Troopers 1. you definatly need this in your collection

Quite possibly the most fast pace action packed intense game I've ever played. Really gets the adrenalin pumping! Not for the light hearted… Though it's quite easy to pick up. Great addition to the collection!

I quite like 3rd person shooting games, my personal favorite is infamous! although the graphics is not as amazing but who cares about the graphics!! if the game is good it is simply gonna be good!!! it is action packed, it is fast moving, and it is actually more strategic than I first thought it would be, but to sum it up, it is FULL ON..... <(^_____^)>

A very good game, with real good detail. A fun but interesting game! A very good game and most ppeople should love it!

I know this game got high as reviews from most people, but I found it quite lame. It was too fast paced which the makers were obviously trying to do, but you missed out on how to play and all the fun. Also if you're after a good story line its not the game for you. But it is easy so possibly good for children, even though its R13.

I just scored this on a Daily Deal for $8 and so wasn't expecting anything, tbh. But I've paused it to write this review. While nowhere near as well known as some of the bigger titles, Vanquish is like a mashup of Halo, Gears Of War, and Bulletstorm. It's not a game to bust a fanboy nut over, but it's a blast to play. Great visuals, sound, and a few cool special abilities. Also, a good use of the controller vibration (I can't nail it down, but some games suck at this). If you can get it for a good price, you won't regret the purchase.

I was tally enjoying this game but got to s point about 7 levels in where I had to fight 2 robots and after about 20 mins of fighting I was killed by a single attack. After this happened twice in a row I Gave up playing it

I love Platinum Games, Vanquished is definetly a game to play if you like fast paced and crazy action games.

Difficult to Master on the Harder Difficulty but still enjoyable.

Well.A bit dissapointed…If you like fast pace third person shooter definitely BUY THIS GAME…If you re a story core gamer DONT BUY THIS GAME..The story is very bad..It doesnt have a character development but the gameplay is so fast pace make you forget the story and just enjoy!!

A fairly linear game, but action packed with some epic scenery and a solid combat system combine to make a thoroughly enjoyable over the top japanese action game full of guns robots and destruction setting a space staion ablaze with war.

Wasn't expecting that much but this game is super fast paced and really fun. There are tons of cool weapons to play with in this 3rd person action adventure

Great, action filled 3rd person shooter for the ps3.

This high Speed Action Shooter is definitely different from any other shooter ive ever played. tThe speed and Slow Motion effects of this game make it far exceed that of any shooter you could compare it to. It has like most shooter games many difficulty levels, so as to cater to any players skill level. the scipt is a little chessy at times but the Graphics and the Suit makes it so that can be over looked. A must have shooter game to add to your collection!
