I really should have done more research into this product before purchasing.
Without a proper description of the features of the game on this site, I fully
bought this expecting some form of career mode. The whole reason why I loved
WWE games was the ability to create a superstar and insert them into the
rosters, fighting my way up to being the World Champion.
The MyCareer Code is only available on PS4/XBOX One.
So the one reason I bought this game, I can't use it for. The number of
wrestlers available is limited compared to previous versions, and is therefore
missing essential wrestlers from the previous games (you give us Goldberg, then
you take him away-). There are some new characters but you have to pay extra for
them. The entrance themes and music etc look nice, but aren't actually kept up
to date with the real-life counterparts (some changed their entrance videos two
years ago, and yet it still uses the old one)
The controls are incredibly fidgety, and difficult to get a hold of, and the
general look of the game is cheap. While I could put my wrestler in the roster
to try get him to be the champion, I couldn't actually play as him in those
matches; I could only watch. And watching was excruciating. It was like
watching rock'em sock'em robots.
While I knew not to expect the graphics or performance to be as good as the
next gen consoles, I wasn't expecting to have the main features removed
completely, to the point that the game was wore than 2K14.
I honestly regret this purchase. I've had the game for little over
24 hours, and I don't even want to play it anymore. I've had PS1 games that
were better.
