It took me a little while to get into it, but after a while I found myself enjoying this game quite a lot.
Wasteland 2 is a turn-based squad tactics RPG. You create 4 characters (or select them from a pre-made character list), giving each one their own specialisations. In addition to a variety of combat skills (pistols, shotguns, bladed melee weapons, etc), you can choose several non-combat skills (lock-picking, safe-cracking, trap disarming). Some skills have uses in both combat and non-combat situations – e.g. Computer science can be used to open doors with electronic locks and to neutralise robot enemies.
The game has good replay value, between the character customisation and the side quests, which can be resolved in multiple ways. There are also extra followers that you can meet in your journeys, which means that you can have up to 7 people in your team at once. With a wide variety of weapons and enemies and two large areas to explore, there's a enough content for a couple of play-throughs.
The graphics aren't amazing, though. The music is a little hit and miss too, but the sound effects are good.
If you're into turn-based games, I highly recommend.
