One of Wellington’s best kept secrets, amazing soul singer Bella Kalolo
releases her debut solo album ‘Without The Paper’ Christchurch born and bred
Bella comes from a musical family and was encouraged to perform from
an early age. Singing Samoan hymns in church she honed her skills and finely
tuned her voice. As a vocalist she’s already lined up an impressive CV
working with NZ luminaries like Don McGlashan, Dave Dobbyn, Fat Freddy’s Drop
and Hollie Smith.
Bella released her debut EP in 2009 titled ‘The Road Ahead’ and has twice been nominated for best Female voice at the Pacific Music Awards 2010 & 2011. Recently returning from Glastonbury Bella describes this album as the ups and downs of love, life and death.
