Description

On a clear summers evening by the lake was a family with friends sitting by the campfire. A little girl of three sat on her mother's knee listening to the grown ups talking about the next days events. When all of a sudden the little girl's Mother said, to her look up there it is a shooting star. As the little girl did as she was asked her Mother said, let's make a wish. Why Mommy? Well if we wish on a shooting star love it might just come true. As the years goes by ten years later to be exact the little girl would now be thirteen had seen her own shooting star from her bedroom so she made her own wish that night. What she wished for was to be able to travel into space to touch just one star. people believed that it was impossible for girls to become Astronauts. Kathy believes that making a wish would come true if you she worked hard to achieve her goal. With out doubt she believed in her heart that all good things will happen in time knowing and believing in yourself to become what you wished for. Her journey to explore how she would make her dream come true took her to the public Library one day looking for books on space. The Librarian told her about the Space Camp at Nassa that was available for the summer months and that is where she started her adventure.
