Author Biography:

Stanley Wells is Honorary President of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, and Emeritus Professor of the Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham (formerly Director 1988-97). He has been general editor of the Oxford Shakespeare since 1978.
