Steve Smallman was born in Cambridgeshire and now lives in Staffordshire with his wife, the two youngest of their four children, two dogs and two cats. Steve has been shortlisted for the Sheffield Children's Book Award for the past two years running. The Lamb Who Came For Dinner was also shortlisted for the Red House Children's Book Award in 2007. Janet Samuel studied illustration in Swansea and graduated with a first class honours in 2005. She lives with her young daughter, Alice, and their dog, Porkchop.
