Description

A Narrative of the Siege of Delhi: With an Account of the Mutiny at Ferozepore in 1857 was written by Captain Charles Griffiths of the 61st regiment. The Great Indian Rebellion was an explosive period in the history of India. The bloodshed on the plains and cities of Hindostan was huge. A small group of Englishmen fought to hold the territory they had ruled for over 100 years. They fought against Hindoo and Mohammedan religious enemies who came together to fight the English. Griffiths gives a personal account of the events he witnessed during his time in India.
