"Part 2 of the Best in the Series"
5 stars"

Review by Matthew on 13th May, 2012

Blood and Gold follows directly from Steel and Snow, the first part of A Storm of Swords. Here, George R. R. Martin constructs the greatest battles and twists of the ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ series. It is an absolute triumph, never letting up, with the final page of the book delivering a twist that will knock the wind out of any reader. In this reviewer's opinion, no fantasy novel will ever hold a candle to Blood and Gold, a testament to its unprecedented brilliance.

I have read all the other books and so far this is one of my favourites. There were so many twists and turns and great writing that I was amazed the whole time. It also differed from the series which I found interesting. Get this book you won't be sorry

Had a lot of fun with this. Really recommend buying this. If you like the fantasy realm and being taken into another dimension then definitely buy this. It is truly a work of art. I have read it so many times now but still am not sick of it. Hope to see this series carry on strongly as I dearly enjoy it!

Great book, well written, a great continuation of the series. Hard to put down, would advise any fan of High Fantasy to read the series of books.
