Description

Doug French's Verbal Prep for the ACCUPLACER(R) Gets You a High Score! More than 1,300 high schools, technical schools, community colleges, and four-year colleges across the country use the ACCUPLACER(R) to determine the skill levels of incoming students. Students at all learning levels will benefit from this comprehensive college placement test prep. Written by an educational testing specialist, our test prep contains everything you need to know to score high on the verbal portion of the ACCUPLACER(R). Focused, easy-to-follow review chapters cover the topics tested on the verbal section of the exam, including sentence skills, reading comprehension, and writing an essay. Drills and examples throughout the book build your skills while explaining key concepts you need to know. Two full-length practice tests in the book simulate ACCUPLACER(R) test questions. Each practice test is balanced to include every type of question, subject area, and skill tested on the exam. Our practice tests replicate the ACCUPLACER(R) question format, allowing you to assess your skills and gauge your test-readiness. Both practice exams come with detailed feedback on every question. We don't just say which answers are right--we explain why the other answer choices are wrong--so you'll be prepared on test day. This complete test prep package comes with a customized study schedule and REA's test-taking strategies and tips. If you're taking the ACCUPLACER(R) and need to boost your verbal skills before test day, this is the book for you!
