Excerpt from Aeneidos, Vol. 1 In preparing this volume I have had in view the needs of those who are beginning the study of Vergil. I have endeavoured to make the notes simple and concise, and such as my experience has taught me are likely to be useful to the average Fourth Form boy. I hope the simple derivation of words given in the Vocabulary will be'especially useful. I have found it not only adds interest to a boy's Work to see the connexion between words, but helps him enormously to acquire a vocabulary.
