CARRIE JONES loves Great Pyrenees dogs, occasionally wears mismatched socks, and never drinks coffee. In addition to penning the Need series, Carrie is the award-winning author of numerous books, including most recently the picture book Sarah Emma Edmonds was a Great Pretender, and also coedited the anthology Dear Bully, about YA authors' experiences with bullying. Carrie grew up in Bedford, NH, and now lives in Bar Harbor, Maine. STEVEN WEDEL is a high school English teacher, and lives with his wife and children in Oklahoma.
