The sound on these are quite exceptional but unfortunately the mics sound is tinny and not worth using. You can however buy a V-Moda Boom Pro (as I've done) or ModMic and plug it into the Line-In jack and voila you have a decent mic for this headset.
I bought these for my son & he is very happy with the quality of sound & lighting, also very comfortable to wear
