Ten year old Aliyah is very smart but is much more interested in daydreaming than have anything to do with the real world. When she travels through a strange otherworldly library, Aliyah begins to understand the connections between flights of fancy and the real world. When Aliyah is almost lost and can't seemingly travel any more, She finds her way back home by writing her own books. Olim the Librarian is strange and mysterious, but he is a friendly spirit who is one of many ghostly librarians taking care of the biggest library in the world. With his help and guidance, Aliyah will be able to comprehend and learn about the world around her through the lens of reading.
