American Horror Story is my #1 all time favorite show! Freakshow- despite its criticism, is a marvelous season. The highlights include Twisty the clown, Jessica Lange's end of season performance and the various musical items. The season is full of mystery and triumph. Thankyou Mighty Ape with supplying me with this amazing DVD!!!
Watched the whole series during a cold weekend and loved it. I Googled it and found that the writers had done their homework. What’s most compelling about Freak Show are that some of the characters are actually inspired by real people who lived with medical conditions and were in Circus Freak Shows many decades ago, and five of the characters actually have medical conditions. Well acted and well written. Superb! Looking forward to watching Series 5.
American Horror Story: Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.
