Graffiti, how does it really impact your life? Is it art? Is it a monster? Can it be something different? When did it become what it is today? Can it be controlled, contained, or stopped? Does it affect where you live, your life? Do you notice yourself avoiding areas blanketed in graffiti? As an investor, what role does graffiti play when making decisions to buy, sell, or renovate? Do you see it as temporary, permanent, or removable? Do we even notice it as it's become part of the fabric of America? Maybe most important, does it add to life's beauty and wonder . . . or hide it? Has the cell phone and texting replaced baseball as "the national pastime"? Baseball is played on playgrounds and in stadiums throughout this great country. Is it a "safe" haven for our youth to learn responsibility and teamwork? Baseball is a part of our history books. Texting wasn't invented with a playground. Its history is being written, and it appears that the car is its playground of choice. Texting playing cards, like baseball cards who show our heroes, will show those who died because of distracted driving or walking. If you asked, "What gives you the greatest pleasure in life?" many would say eating. Why, then, do we allow eateries to look dirty, with servers using their bare hands to handle and prepare our food? Disease is a real threat; sickness spreads fast today, and yet, it appears that the food industry didn't get the memo. What happened to what was once a nation full of pride? Journey with me as we look through a new lens at today, and hope for a prouder tomorrow.
