Author Biography

Bhakti Mathur's love for books started at a very young age. Her mother was a librarian, and as a child she ended up spending many hours in the library. Work brought Bhakti and her husband to Hong Kong in 2001 and coming from the hustle and bustle of Delhi and Mumbai, they settled in immediately and the city is now truly home. The idea for the Amma, Tell Me series came as a way to introduce her older son, Shiv, to Indian mythology and festivals. The name Klaka came from Shiv himself he came back home from school one day and announced that "Shiv" didn t cut it and he should be henceforth be addressed only as Klaka! She started her career as an investment banker. After a couple of other roles in the finance world, she ended up as a private banker, and now currently works for a major Asian bank. "
