Description

Diverse collection of short stories and poems The title, Animadat, came to me years ago while having dinner with my youngest daughter, Lindsey. All through dinner the word kept going through my head-so persistent-that I had to look it up in an old dictionary. Of course, there wasn't such a word; but I found the root word, anima, which means life principle/soul, and the suffix dat, which means giving. Animadat became the defining principle that influences my work. It is my muse. That's also the way stories and poems come to me-so persistent-that I have to write them down. Such as the following: Clipping Toenails: A daughter discovers her father, disabled from a stroke, has been abused. Leftovers: A young woman unhappy with her life stalks an older woman that she's intrigued with. Vision Quest: A woman experiences a visitation from her deceased husband. Plus other stories and poems that I hope you enjoy.
