We have had only appropriated for our roads for the past two years and it is utterly impossible, with this amount of money to do near what the public demands on our roads and, at the same time, they are justified in their demands for better roads, and it would be very pleasing to your committee on roads, bridges and drains to fix every piece of road that they touch each year in the best possible way if they had the funds to do it with, but they have to distribute the small amount they have to work with to the best advantage they can after looking over the 150 miles of roads.
