Rebecca Clothey is Associate Professor in the Department of Global Studies and Modern Languages and the School of Education at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, USA. Kai Heidemann is Assistant Professor of Sociology at University College Maastricht within Maastricht University in the Netherlands. His research focuses on the grassroots politics of educational democratization and community-driven processes of education reform in Europe and Latin America.
