I nearly spent over $100 on a nice pair of BT headphones – I keep losing them somehow. Decided to give these Ape Basics a shot. Not only do they fit well in-ear (they do also come with different sized buds), but the sound they produce is actually really good! There's a half decent bit of bass coming through, in actual fact I'd say these Ape Basics are better than a pair of more expensive Phillips wired headphones that I bought recently. Will see how long they last, but so far so good! Tempted to buy another pair as a back-up.

Comfortable to wear, easy to set up, good sound quality. These are awesome lightweight little headphones for running. Affordable and arrived swiftly.
I've found battery life to be closer to 4 hours although when battery hits 10% it tells you on repeat every 5 seconds so they're basically unusable at that point. Double clicking calls your most recent contact rather than skipping song, why would anyone ever want that. Sound is okay everything else is rubbish
It fits pretty comfortably, connects to my phone easy and quickly, overall it's good for the price. The only bad thing is that there is a constant buzzing sound. It's drowned out when the volume of what is playing is high, but it is still kind of annoying when you want to listen at a low volume and you just have to put up with the constant buzzing sound.
The material feel and fit for this price point are actually quite good, on par with several more expensive wireless headphones I have owned. Unfortunately the lower price point is reflected in the performance and sound quality, which at its $29 price point is to be expected. I had to return my first pair as they were slightly louder in the right ear than the left ( and yes I did try them the other way around to rule out my ears being the issue :P ) but the replacement set were the same. It is most noticeable when turning them on and pairing. The bass is underwhelming and at the loudest setting spotify will allow, they will have you craving a better set. At the upper volume range the bass, mids and highs become quite washed out. Excellent for pod casts and audio books however. But not for the avid music listener.
I wasn't expecting much at this price point, but was very pleasantly surprised. Headphones are comfortable and lightweight, paired easily with my phone and sound quality was better than my previous earbuds. Good for running – stay in place on long runs and allow enough ambient noise through that you can hear traffic etc for safety.
Good earbuds for the first month- easy to connect to phone and comfortable to wear. Unfortunately the left ear bud keeps coming loose from the main piece so has to be lined up and clipped back on. The silcone pieces are also quite loose so everytime to remove the headphones from their storage pouch I have to put the silicone back on. The sound quality has steadily decreased to to the point that running on a footpath next to the main road, music is almost impossible to hear over the traffic.
I have, and have had, Bose, Jabra, Monster, JBL, and Samsung ones. Most kept falling out and Jabra ones just kept dropping out. For me, these just work! I was surprised at the Bass and the best thing is that it just connects and starts working! No fancy volume controls etc., BUT the the Mic on phone calls while walking on the beach was just so clear! Surprised me. Just bought a second pair.
Great Sports Headphones for the Money.
Bluetooth headset is widely known for its high price, yet here we have one that's only 39$. It's relatively super cheap, others could reach 300$ or even 600$ depending on the brand. So, what's the catch with this one-
Audio lag and the sound is not exactly equal. Sometimes the left is louder, sometimes the right is louder. And the audio delay is really noticeable when you are watching a movie or a youtube video. It's a headset that really works to play music/audiobook in the background, not suitable for movies/gaming in general.
Bought these for running but they slide out of my ears and the hooks don't even keep them on. Disappointing!
These earphones have good quality sound and are a comfortable fit and are definitely high quality for the price.
I have had 2 pairs so far and they are very good for its price. Nice sound quality and comfy to wear only downfall of em is that overtime the sound seems to deteriorate very badly to the point the left is louder than the right or both just seem to be very low on max volume. Other than that these are very good for its price range
I purchased 2 of these at the same time. When they were working properly the battery life was quite impressive. The key point “when they were working". After a week 1 set wouldn't switch on after charging. The blue light indicated it was fully charged but the problem remained. The second set the left earbud worked if I wiggled the cord, obviously a loose or damaged wire, the right earbuds still worked but it was totally frustrating. Save your money do not buy these.
Works brilliantly. The sound quality is amazing and the design both prevents them from falling out of my ears and allows me to wear a hat while I walk my dog and listen to a story.
My wife took one look at them and demanded that I buy her a pair for her birthday. So of course I did.
Very highly recommended.
Wore these everyday for almost 5mths and the right side's volume has gone. I can still use the on/off button and control the volume for the left side. The ear buds that came with the earphones kept falling off so I replaced them with a pair from a completely different set. Despite the failing earbuds and volume on one side, they were pretty great … Until they weren't.
The battery life on these things is unrivalled at this price!! I’ve spent more on Belkin earphones that fell apart in a week. My new go-to cheap headphones
Pros: long battery life, decent audio quality, about as comfortable as hard plastic headphones can be. Cons: connection is only maintained if nothing is blocking the line of sight between your device and the right ear, including but not limited to: exercise equipment, clothing, your arm, your head… Sometimes connection will drop for a single second and you'll miss a part of the song or podcast you're listening to. Othertimes it will disconnect from your device entirely, meaning you have to stop and reconfigure it. Not great for exercising.
Well made, great sounding and affordable. Great purchase.
Definitely work fine, just wish they fit correctly. The hook is too tall compared to the ear bud. There doesn't seem to be a way to adjust it either, but I'm sure I may get used to it.
Battery life is pretty good as well, usually last 3 1 hour runs, earbuds stay in well and are comfortable
Honestly quite surprised how good these are. Easy set up, simple to use, comfortable to wear. Not particularly sleek, but functional and a great option for pretty cheap.
I use for them running and they connect to my garmin fenix watch quickly and without issue. Battery life is fine, audio quality is fine, reasonably comfortable and the ear hooks ensure they don't fall out. For $20, can't complain…so I wont!
Already charged, quick to link and use. Thank you
It's not bad for a cheap pair of gym headphones. The soundscape is not as full as the more expensive Mpow Flame S's these appear to be a copy of, but it is acceptable considering it costs 1/3 the price. It is comfortable on the ears and comes with a variety of bud sizes to help with that. Very small Micro USB cord but who doesn't have a million of those anyway?
Perfectly usable set of bluetooth headphones; paired easily and had moderate sound quality. Had a couple of issues getting a comfortable fit, and have occasional cut outs in sound when turning my head. Overall worth the money, although if I manage to get into a regular running routine then I would definitely trade up for something higher quality.
Very happy with these. I can't really use earbuds as they hurt my ears and don't stay in so this is a very nice alternative to over-ear headphones. Sound is pretty good and decent battery life. Small enough to have on you easily and since they are connected you won't lose them as easily as you would earbuds.
Used a handful of times – not too bad a quality / functionality for the price.
Then stopped working (would not charge any more) so have requested a return
