Brandon Sanderson's books can be more than enjoyed as standalone works but his literary universe really comes alive from reading across the cosmere collection. I started by reading the Stormlight series and had also read Warbreaker and Edgedancer prior to reading Arcanum Unbounded. The connections between the standalone Warbreaker and the Stormlight series alone were a delight let alone between Edgedancer (originally released in Arcanum Unbounded) and Warbreaker. If you like Brandon's work you'll love this. I can't wait for Mistborn to arrive!
