Astro A50 Wireless Gaming Headset (PS4 & PC) reviews

First of all I had had the TurtleBeach 800p before this and the a50 is so far ahead in terms of comfort and batterylife and sound quality, the mic is better now with the latest firmware update which also fixed the mic drop out and static that was happening intermittently. Sound is awesome and the basestation is handy to keep it always charged. (Can also charge and play as well) Glad I picked up this headset I have had it since release and still no issues. As I said if you've got the money to get this it's a must have.

A sturdy, comfortable headset with amazing sound, however it is a bit pricey for casual gamer's. My experience with the base charger hasn't been the best as I find it to be difficult to put on charge, sometimes I walk away and it doesn't end up charging so I come back to a dead headset. However I find if you adjust the sides to the tightest they can go, you have more luck getting it on charge. As someone who is using a headset for long periods of time, this can be a huge issue to have to constantly stop what I'm doing to charge it since you can't seem to charge and use it at the same time. To counter this I've bought another cable which I plug in to my console or pc to charge while playing and since then I don't have any issues. If you are someone who likes to listen to console and pc at the same time, this works. However if you use the mic on your console, be sure to set it to console or your friends will hear you echo. When using older headsets I straight away notice the difference in sound quality, all games sound amazing on default settings and I'm sure they could sound even better when messing with the settings on the app. Overall I'd say this is definitely a decent headset with many capabilities and only small limitations that can be easily countered. I'm not sure I'd say it was worth the amount I spent on it but it seems to be amazing quality and something that will last me years as oppose to spending $50 on something I have to replace a month later. Great features, great sound, slick design with a comfortable feel and sense of durability. The Astro command hub is easy to navigate and use in real time although with the Dolby on they sound a bit weird [maybe I haven't tinkered with them enough yet]. For the price, they provide exceptionally good quality gaming, movies and music sound. I was absolutely shocked when the Item not only arrived on time but actually arrived by courier to my house as I would normally have to go to the LPO and sign for anything else that's supposed to be couriered… 5 stars Mighty ape, well done!

Great sound quality, but terrible mic. Battery life is amazing and lasts very long Don't think I would buy again sadly.

Honestly one of the most comfortable headsets I've used. Previous headset was TurtleBeach xp sevens. Sounds great, controls are easy. Expensive but if you play often you get your worth. No Mic issues at all. Never heard anyone complain about my mic.

The sound quality is amazing the mic is meh but it still gets the job done and range is good. But the reason why people get bad range is that its 5ghz not 2.4ghz which means it can't go through walls as easy which results in bad range. And unfortunately the Astro A50 Noise-Isolating Mod Kit is impossible to find.

Bought mine a day ago and it arrived this morning, been using it all morning, after having to mess with audio settings till it was good, I’m so happy with the headset it works well and has been a great headset to use. Would but it again if I had to.
