Description

Uriah Hobbs and Bess Haverman, whose families had been killed by Indians ten years prior, are brought together by the death of Esther Massingale, whom Uriah had rescued from hostile Indians just before she gave birth to a son. Uriah and Bess take the child as their own and travel to the town of Junction, where they marry. The town is attacked by Indians. Uriah through risking his own life achieves peace, only to have the Army interfere and threaten the peace. Uriah finds himself facing hostile Indians, hostile Army officers and a grizzly bear in order to maintain the peace.
