Author Biography

ANDREW SHAIL is Lecturer in Film at Newcastle University, UK. He is the co-editor of Menstruation: A Cultural History (2005) and Neurology and Modernity (2009) and the editor of Reading the Cinematograph (2010). ROBIN STOATE is a Doctoral Candidate in English Literature at Newcastle University, UK. He has contributed articles to the Blackwell Encyclopaedia of Literary and Cultural Theory (2010).
