The bass on these earpods is certainly booming, but it comes at the cost of the mids and highs. Everything sounds muddy, like listening to the music through a wall. This can be remedied somewhat by the use of EQ apps/software, but they still are not quite on par with similarly priced earpods from other companies. The claimed battery life is impressive, and the USB-C charging port is nice to see. Comfort is about average for Apple-style earpods. Not awful, but not amazing. Your mileage may vary depending on ear shape. The touch controls work fairly well, though there have been occasions where they do not register a tap. This is possibly just user error as the touch sensitive zone is quite small. Connectivity is excellent. I did not experience any drops in connection, nor did I have significant latency when watching streaming video. The pods connect immediately to the paired device as soon as they are removed from the case.
Overall, I am quite pleased with the user experience and quality of these earpods, but the muddy audio is definitely a sticking point.
