This has got to be one of my favourite Batman/Joker stories. It's dark, grim, and contains horror elements. Synder's Batman stories (at least the ones I've read) are great – try Vol 1 & 2 (Court/Night of the Owls) of this run, as well as Vol. 7 Endgame for another Joker story. Note the ‘Library Edition’ of the hardcover does not come with a slip/dust jacket.
