Despite being a novice, twelve-year old Misaki and her Angel, Hikaru, have been on a winning streak against some tough competition in the fast-paced fighting game, Angelic Layer. But with the national tournament in Kanto looming, Misaki and Hikaru are facing an uphill battle.

Misaki meets her match when she must fight against her friend, Angelic Layer prodigy Hatoko, the amazing Kindergarten Kid. With ever-more-difficult challenges on the horizon, Misaki learns she must first conquer her own self-doubt before she can focus on her goal - fighting at the Kanto games.
