"Fantastic Game"

Although a bit buggy this game is a fantastic online multiplayer shooter that combines infantry action and vehicle combat effectively and cohesively.

The incentives for teamwork means that you'll be rarely fighting alone. You score career points for a lot of actions that help to encourage a squad focus.

The career and unlock system means that you get to try interesting and varied weapons that change the way that you play. From motion mines to sentry guns unlocks are varied and useful.

As of writing this availability of online servers in this part of the world is quite high. There are regularly high numbers of full servers including serveres up to 64 players.

This game is recommended to fans of the battlefield series and more generally people who enjoy online multiplayer games.

A great game ,first person shooter, customise your kits which is great! But I couldn't register the game so I couldn't play online or get unlocks so that sucked! You can get great vehicles such as the Walkers, and the Hover Tanks are awesome. Theres a new mode, called Titan mode, where you have to destroy the enemy Titans (Titans are a massive ship that hover really high of the ground). You destroy them by capturing missile silo's wich take out it's sheild, then you can board it with a Gunship or an Assault Carrier vehicle that shoots you in a pod. You then have to destroy all four computers, then finally, the reactor which destroys the Titan (or you can wait until the missiles destroy it).

"not as good as I hoped...."

I've been a battlefield fan for a long time, starting way back with 1942. I was hoping for something special from 2142, but have to be honest and say I'm feeling let down… why I hear you ask?

  1. Lack of campaign mode ~ 2142 was obviously designed for online play as its major component, although I knew this I thought there would still be a decent single player campaign, alas not.
  2. Teams not distinct enough ~ It is hard yakka trying to work out which guy is on your team and which is an enemy. a clearer distinction would make the game alot more enjoyable.
  3. NPC's are jibber jabbering all the time! ~ This is pretty frustrating, they tens to yell things at random times, not so helpful in the heat of battle.
  4. Weapons load outs are pretty restricted at first ~ admittedly you can unlock more, but it takes quite awhile. I think that the weapons are more restricted to encourage squad based play, which could be a bonus, but for a lone wolf, this game will lose its appeal very quickly because of limited weapons loadouts.

What did they do well?

The Titan vehicles are a whole load of fun. And the game encourages getting together with mates to play online.
