"BETA looks Promising"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Been thrashing the BETA for a couple of days now; First impressions were not so good, but once you get the feel for the engine, it just gets better; the graphics aren't bad, I've noticed the sound quality is excellent on loud speakers. Annoys the neighbours but TOO BAD – This is WAR!!!

"Amazing"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I have been playing this game on the Beta for 3 days now and I must say it is simply amazing. For all you BF2 fans, this is a must, almost all the same weapons from BF2 are available, but more compressed (Assault now has ammo pack, and there is no support, etc). The damage system is still pretty much the same, but it is now a largely point based game. 50 points for a kill, 10–30 for a assist, extra 10–30 for headshot, etc.

The destructable environment is perfectly done, most buildings can be leveled easily which is great fun to watch. There are still many bugs throughout the game, but these will be sure to be fixed before release, I definately recommend to any FPS fan, especially those from BF2.

"Pre-order to receive Beta key!"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Mighty Ape has been chosen by Electronic Arts to distribute Beta keys to customers who pre-order their copy of Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

I pre-ordered my copy last night and by 10am the next day I had my Beta key! (You'll need to see the Electronic Arts' Bad Company 2 beta web site for further directions on how to use the key and downloading beta game)

Although the game is currently going through Beta testing, it feels pretty solid. Any gaming PC built within the last year should play it well. I have a 3 to 4 year old PC (8800gt 512mb, 5200+ X2, 2GB, Vista 64bit) and it runs okay, but any lower and you'll be disappointed.

If you enjoyed Call Of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2, flying and driving vehicles, Destroying buildings, large maps and dedicated servers then get this game!

Mighty Ape are offering the Limited Edition of this game for only $89.99 with free delivery in New Zealand! A far better deal than Modern Warfare 2 purchased elsewhere.

"Amazing game, the first of its kind."
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I think Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be the first game of its kind to really rock the PC industry. It marks the start of a new era of PC games where buildings can be destroyed, and a whole new way-to-play available for all its players. With the ‘Destruction 2.0’ updated from the original Frostbite engine, not only doors and walls can be destroyed, but also the whole frame, giving gamers the opportunity to drastically change their online environment.

I think this game is really gonna be something to marvel, Ill keep you posted. IF! I can keep my jaw off my keyboard.

"Bad Company 2 impression "
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is the most fun I've had in all of the Battlefields. They've got it spot on with this one. Just finshed with the beta and the gameplay destruction and balance is spot on. Only downside is you need a powerful system to get the most out of it. My GTX 260 and dual core runs in on med high at a reasonable frame rate but having a quad core really helps with this game.

"Simple WOW"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The Beta so far looks really good. The game is amazing in scope and the teamwork aspect is well tooled. Great beta but can't wait for the release!

"Based on Beta excellent addition to franchise"
5 stars"

I am having a lot of fun with the beta (thanks gp!) I have always preferred the team based focus of previous BF games, as opposed to other recent shooters such as MW2. The current scoring system is great. I like that the round summary shows overall points generally reflecting your objective/team commitment.

Seems like they have taken the best parts from COD and blended them in to create what is basically a more action oriented BF2. Also it doesn't feel like a console port which is great dedicated servers ftw.
