Description

Long out of print, this two in one volume features novelisations of the original BATTLESTAR GALACTICA pilot and the series' first episode, co-written by the show's creator, Glen A. Larson, with a new introduction by series star Richard Hatch, who portrayed Captain Apollo Humanity is enjoying a Golden Age, having expanded through much of the galaxy and establishing many worlds as home. It is at the moment of celebrating lasting peace that the Colonial worlds are attacked by the dreaded Cylons, alien cybernetic creatures intent on wiping humanity out completely wherever it appears. A ragtag fleet of colonists and spaceships, including the battlestar GALACTICA, leaves to find the location of an earlier home of humanity, a place of legend, a place called Earth. During their voyage they encounter many strange races and threats, and are followed and attacked by the Cylon menace. This volume chronicles the Cylon attack, the Colonial escape, and the heroics of a few brave souls in their initial adventures in unknown space as they search for a new world to call home.
