Joan Clifton trained in horticulture and landscape design and is an established figure in garden design. She has written a number of books, including Garden Elements and Stone, Wood, Glass and Steel (both Aquamarine). Jenny Hendy works as an author, lecturer, radio broadcaster as well as running a thriving garden consultancy. Her many books include Best-Ever Step-By-Step Kid's First Gardening, which won Practical Book of the Year at the Garden Media Guild Awards in 2010.
