This title Beauty & the Beast, excellent and I couldn't complain or make complaints.......... Either way unlike with Cinderella, the Mermaid 1, Snow White's, Frozen, Alice in Wonderland & the many other Princess sort of film's just wanted to add them to my collection.
That's not the only Genre of films I've been collecting tho – a.k.a – all Xmen films, all Paranormal Act's, Musicals (not Grease tho), some Selected Horror's and Most of them are Actions type.
This version of Beauty and Beast has incredible visuals and costumes – it is a lush feast for the eyes and the senses. The storyline both pays homage to the French original as well as diverging off the beaten track into some unique territory. Great production values, acting, and story line. The only real problem is that not enough time is devoted to the love story between Beauty and the Beast. Other than that, it's great!
Having lost his fortune at sea, a merchant and his children are forced to retire to the countryside. Belle is his youngest daughter, full of beauty and grace. While traveling, the Merchant discovers the Beast, who sentences him to death for stealing a rose. Belle, who blames herself for her family’s misfortune, offers to sacrifice her life in place of her father’s. But what awaits Belle is not death, but joy, magic and romance
