Author Biography:

Eileen Clegg spent 20 years as a daily newspaper journalist and has written and/or illustrated numerous articles and books including Goodbye Good Girl (New Harbinger, 1998), Claiming Your Creative Self: True Stories of Everyday Women (1999), Creating a Learning Culture (Cambridge University Press 2002), and the Corporate University Workbook (Jossey Bass Pfeiffer 2005). She is founder of the company Visual Insight, creating visual language murals to document leadership and think tank sessions for educational nonprofits, technology conferences, and Fortune 500 companies. Her website is www.visualinsight.net. Betty Frain has been in practice as a marriage and family therapist for more than 30 years with special expertise in family dynamics and recovery from trauma. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Development from the Fielding Institute. She currently is the clinical director of CARE Children's Counseling Center, California Parenting Institute in Santa Rosa, California. Betty has devoted her career and life to understanding people and helping them thrive. She and Eileen are collaborating on a new book Extremophile People about human resilience.
