A desk tidy that looks like a 3-dimensional sketch, Block’s structural pen holder was inspired by the architectural drawings of Block’s lead designer, Tara Ashe.

'When I showed the original drawings to the design team, we felt there was something both playful and robust in the sketch concept,’ says Tara, ‘the lines simultaneously suggest a simple sketch and the 3 dimensional buildings on which it is based. That play with positive and negative space is intriguing.’

Writing materials are supported by the steel cage of the desk tidy and rest in the hollows of a wooden base, which also provides useful storage for smaller items of stationery.
