Stevie Snowden, is a burnt-out psychic investigator living in the remote woods of Washington State, hiding from her failures with the NYPD and what she did when confronted by serial killer Herbert Cook. Jilted by her fianci, she and her Bald Eagle, and her pet wolf, Grayface, are doing okay--until she dreams of a man trapped in his plane as it hurtles from the sky. Only the wreck she and her pilot buddy, Jed, spot from the air crashed years ago! Drew Stryker is in town to lay low, and the old crash site holds dark memories for him. Traveling with him is his buddy, Bruce, another mystery man. When Stevie and her friend Louise bump into Drew and Bruce, they haven't a clue what the men are up to. What Stevie does realize, is that Drew is the man from her dream. A bond forms between Stevie and Drew, despite the violent psychic flashes she gets about him. Drew carries a gun and lies with precision. The only thing he tells her is that he knew the man who died in that plane crash. Stevie has no idea that he is being hunted by drug lord Damian Quade and his brother Nicholas, and that someone is conveying every move Drew makes. Stevie is suddenly forced to deal with all the same fears and obligations that landed her in a psychiatric unit four years ago--only this time it's worse because she's fallen in love with Drew.
