Gordon Hanley was a scientist by profession, but is an artist by choice. He paints an extraordinarily wide range of subject matter that includes birds, horses, wildlife, nostalgia and portraits in a hyper-realist style. Self-taught, he is now widely recognized as one of Australia's finest water-colourists. His first solo exhibition was held in 1990 and featured 33 paintings. Since 1992 Gordon has released over 100 different print titles in both open and limited edition format, making him one of the most published and popular print artists in Australia.
